PADI Emergency First Response (EFR)
Emergency First Response is a PADI affiliate that specializes in teaching these lifesaving skills – and they’re for anyone, not just divers. Most PADI Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors!
Why Emergency first Response® (EFR)?
EFR gives you the basic tools you need to perform CPR and first aid. Whether you’re a diver or a non-diver, EFR prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations.
The EFR is aimed at both non divers and divers. We can work closely with schools / businesses to provide courses to the local community. Group discounts also arranged.
What do I need to start?
- No dive certification required
- No minimum age limit
What will I do?
EFR is a medically based, hands-on course that covers basic training in:
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- emergency care
- primary and secondary care

- Approx 8 hours

Where can I go from here?
If you’re already certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water diver, this satisfies your PADI Rescue Diver CPR prerequisite.
