PADI Emergency First Response (EFR)


Emergency First Response is a PADI affiliate that specializes in teaching these lifesaving skills – and they’re for anyone, not just divers. Most PADI Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors!

Why Emergency first Response® (EFR)?

EFR gives you the basic tools you need to perform CPR and first aid. Whether you’re a diver or a non-diver, EFR EFR-001prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations.

The EFR is aimed at both non divers and divers. We can work closely with schools / businesses to provide courses to the local community. Group discounts also arranged.

What do I need to start?

  • No dive certification required
  • No minimum age limit

What will I do?

EFR is a medically based, hands-on course that covers basic training in:

  • cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • emergency care70091 EFR Primary and Secondary Care Participant Manual
  • primary and secondary care

How long will it take?

  • Approx 8 hours

  • EFR Medical Emergency Manual
  • Home Emergency Medical Plan

Where can I go from here?

If you’re already certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water diver, this satisfies your PADI Rescue Diver CPR prerequisite.

How much will it cost me?

EFR includes manual, certification fee and the days tuition.
